Most of us are able to recognize the scissor lifts by the way in which they function. The models that are able to handle large loads operate through the use of electric motors or hydraulics. The much smaller models are operated manually. The manual scissor lifts are designed for transporting smaller loads to various areas.
These are built as work platforms that are able to be raises and lowered to transfer the boxes or whatever load you might be carrying to tables or shelves. The user is able to raise and lower the lift through a foot pump located on the bottom. Each of the pivot points have self lubricating bushings that will assist the lift to be lifted into the air with no problem.
There are two main types of manual scissor lifts; compact and cart. The compact model is easy to maneuver and is helpful in improving the efficiency in work and safety. Companies use these to put together orders, repair things, or to transport heavy objects. It is fitted with a two swivel 4” diameter rubber wheels that is manually propelled. There are four locks that come standard to keep it from rolling around when unloading items. These cost between $1,000 to $2,000.
The manual cart lift is half the size of the compact lift and is able to hold up to 400 pounds and reach a height of 29 inches. It is designed with a much larger handle that helps to maneuver it easily. These cost between $1,000 to $7,000
